thanks for stopping by and welcome to my blog. Let me introduce myself: I’m Marco, a network engineer with a strong passion for understanding how technology works beneath the surface.

My journey in the networking world began long before my formal studies. Back in 2016, while I was still in high school, I discovered the Cisco Networking Academy and started exploring CCNA topics on my own. That first glimpse into routing, switching and protocols was enough for me to realize that this was the path I wanted to follow.

This early interest eventually led me to pursue a Master’s degree in Telecommunications in 2022, giving me the foundation to deepen my technical knowledge. After graduating, I stepped into the world of consulting and later joined a system integrator, experiences that helped me understand more about how technology silently connects people, businesses and ideas. Outside of networking, I love traveling, hiking and cinema. 🎒🌍

Today I serve as a Network Consulting Engineer (NCE) at Cisco. My main focus areas include routing, with a particular interest in BGP, network access control with Cisco ISE and the automation domain with an as-code approach. 🚀

I spend much of my time deepening my technical expertise, solving real-world challenges and helping customers design and operate robust, scalable and secure networks. In addition to these technologies, I am also passionate about the SD-WAN ecosystem and I’m looking forward to expanding my knowledge in Cisco ACI.

My goal with this space is simple: to share my experiences, connect with others and contribute to the community. Here, I publish the practical insights and lessons I pick up along the way, hoping they can be useful to others on a similar path. I truly believe that communities, especially the Cisco community, empower us to grow faster through the exchange of knowledge and real-world experience. 🤝
