About
Hey there 👋
Thanks for stopping by and welcome to my blog. Let me introduce myself: I’m Marco, a network engineer with a strong passion for understanding how technology works beneath the surface. ⚡
My journey in networking began in 2016, while I was still in high school, when I discovered the Cisco Networking Academy and started exploring CCNA topics on my own. That first exposure to routing, switching, and protocols made me realize that this was the path I wanted to follow. This early interest led me to earn my CCNA in January 2022 and pursue a Master’s degree in Telecommunications in October 2022, where I built a solid technical foundation. After graduating, I worked in consulting and then joined a system integrator, experiences that showed me how technology quietly connects people, businesses, and ideas. 🌐
In January 2025, I joined Cisco as a Network Consulting Engineer. My main focus areas include routing (with a particular interest in BGP), network access control using Cisco ISE, and automation through an Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) approach. In addition to these areas, I am passionate about the SD-WAN ecosystem and look forward to expanding my knowledge in other technologies, including Cisco ACI. 🚀
In the first blog post I published, I briefly explained the reasons that led me to create this space for sharing. If you’re interested, feel free to check it out. 😊
If there’s a topic you’d like me to explore, want to share additional information or real-world experience about a specific post, or simply want to connect, feel free to reach out through my social links. I’d be glad to connect! 🤝

By the way, this is me at Lago di Sorapis, one of the most stunning spots in the Dolomites. 🏔️
